88.1 KTFY :: Manager's Memo

Hi, this is Ty McFarland, 88.1 KTFY Station Manager. Our 2nd annual Friendraiser is coming April 15 &16! If you're already giving, you may have gotten a letter from me about it recently. If we missed you, please call me at 735-0881.

I just wanted to take a minute of your time and tell you about your radio station's financial picture. 88.1 KTFY has been able to lead out this year in helping area homeless, in helping re-stock area foodbanks, and in other good community-wide ministry efforts, because of people just like you. And all in our first full-year of ministry.

As it stands, we're consistently running about $2,000 per month short of baseline expenses. But the good news is, that the trend is running in the right direction. Last year, we were running about $5-6,000 behind each month, but it was our first year, and we were just getting started. Each month we need approximately $10,000 to pay our basic bills. I believe this Friendraiser could be the event where we turn the corner at 88.1 KTFY and start operating in the black. I'm praying for it, and I hope you'll join me in this.

If you listen, and you're blessed, I'm simply asking that you get involved by becoming a part of the giving team that keeps us on the air, here in the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley. Your monthly or one-time gift would be a blessing. The good news is that God will provide, both for your pledge, and for our financial need.

I know that the Lord provides just what we need, when we need it, and not before.

I know that everything that we have is God’s, and that we are just caretakers of God’s money.

I know that where my treasure is, my heart will be as well, and I want my heart to be in tune with the ministry that God is doing in my community.
